"My wife, our married children, and I spent 10 days in this fabulous Villa in paradise! The location with respect to everything on the island is perfect, the view and amenities are flawless. It is a 3 minute walk to the most uncrowded fabulous beach on the Island, and the snorkeling is fantastic! Wendy the owner has seen to it that the Villa is extremely well maintained. She has a phenomenal housekeeper named Betsy that is an absolute delight and witty as can be that keeps the place spotless. We were met at the airport by Tesia, Wendy’s representative that guided us and our luggage to the Villa. There is not a thing we could think of that would improve our experience in that home! Please check out Hog Heaven a restaurant on top of the hill a couple of miles away overlooking the Bitter End Yacht Club (we honeymooned there 30 years ago). The food is fabulous and the view amazing, their drinks delightful, bring a windbreaker because it can be windy up there. Of course you will have to check out the baths, and we took a snorkel charter with Dave from Double D Yacht Charters that was unbelievable!"
"We stayed there with 2 other couples (no kids). It is absolutely paradise. The villa itself is spacious (all 3 couples had their own quarters). The pool and deck have an unbelievable view of the water. The ocean is only a 2 minute walk away with a beautiful beach that feels like it is all your own! The villa provided great recommendations for day activities, places to visit and local restaurants (from quick and easy to quite high end dining). The island itself is spectacular and we hope to return in the near future!"
"This was one of the best villas I have stayed at. The quality of the villa was excellent as well as the view from the main pool and deck area. The island provides a great get away since it is quite small and with that comes very few people. There was no one on the beach in front of the villa and that made the trip even more special. The beach was one of the best I have seen in the world and i have been to Fiji and a number of islands in the world. Everything was organized to the last degree. Pick up from the airport was seamless and if you wanted to order anything or have any meals out the villa comes with a extensive list of services on the island that is at your finger tips. I look forward to booking again and this time with my two small children."
"We stayed here with another couple, they stayed in the main house, we stayed at the “guest cottage” named Wendy’s Watch. This is a great set up if you are traveling with family or other couples. Altho we could have stayed in the main house (there are 2 bedrooms) in main house, we really enjoyed the additional privacy of staying at Wendy's Watch. The second floor of Wendy’s Watch has a bedroom with a small kitchen and sitting area (all one room), and private bath. It is spacious, nicely decorated, with comfy king bed, tiny kitchen w frige, small stove, coffee maker and utensils, dishes and glasses. Great for storing cold drinks and snacks, and having morning coffee on patio overlooking ocean. We enjoyed the glass block shower, which is open to the sky – great to shower at night and see the stars! We appreciated the storage space, we easily tucked both carryon bags and 2 regular size bags in the closet, and all our clothes fit in closet shelving and bureau. Also space to spread out in bathroom, with lots of counter space and storage space. Wendy’s Watch does not have its own tv, but main house has flat screen tv with its own sound system, and it has dish with tons of stations and Sirius radio. The main house has all modern amenities and has perfect set up for entertaining, including well equipped gourmet kitchen with marble counter and island, and all kinds of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, blender, toaster. The large sliding doors open the living area to the pool and patio, with breathtaking views of ocean and Tortola. The patio has both gas & charcoal grills, and large dining table and chairs, as well as lounge chairs. Surprisingly, altho both main and guest cottage have it, we never turned on the ac. It got up to high 80s during day, but guest cottage stayed cool. All we used were the ceiling fans. Remember to bring your own shampoo, cream, conditioner, as these are not provided (soap is provided). Negatives are few. Connecting to wifi from within the guest cottage was sporadic, sometimes it connected without a problem, sometimes signal could not be picked up. However, within the main house and on the patio we could always connect . Also, recommend packing bug spray along with sun block. I had many bites, altho I seemed to be the only one of the four of us who had this problem. The beach in front of villa is a short walk, and is beautiful and was very quiet during our visit. The villa provides beach towels and sand chairs. Would also recommend taking the short drive to Savannah Beach, which is gorgeous and was just about deserted when we were there. The popular Baths is worth seeing, and taking the hike within the caves to Devil’s Bay Beach, but this was the most crowded beach by far. Many day trippers from other islands, and people from small cruise ships filled up the beach. Only advantage was that we attached ourselves to a group touring the caves, so we didn’t get lost! This is a beautiful place to stay on a lovely island that has incredible beaches and some very good restaurants and live entertainment."
"Is there anything better than watching the sun set over the Sir Francis Drake Channel with islands in the distance? We've seen sunsets over water in a number of destinations, but this is one of the most breathtaking. You can watch from the deck surrounding the pool or the top or lower porch of Wendy's Watch, the smaller villa. We LOVED the short, accessible walk to the beach, where the snorkeling is just offshore. Fantastic viewing. The beach is great for swimming and for children because when the waves do come, they are gentle. Walk the beach in the morning or at night--you won't see many people, but those you meet are friendly. You can rent a kayak from the on-site management office. I went scuba diving with BVI diving--my first open water dive post-certification. They were great! The villas are spacious, well appointed with all the linens and dishes you need. The pool is great to take a dip in when you need to cool off. Meals on the deck were so much fun when you didn't feel like going to one of the great nearby restaurants. We will be back!"
"We booked the Villa 5 for a girls week with sisters and friends. Upon entering the front door, we were blown away by the view!! The main house includes a great kitchen and two bedrooms with baths. We also used the top floor of Wendy's Watch. The outdoor showers were refreshing. We enjoyed dinners and card games on the table by the pool. Having a private pool was fun for swimming during the day and at night. It is an easy walk to the almost private beach with great fish (pick up snorkel gear at Dive BVI). A few of the fun activities we recommend: driving to Hog Heaven for great BBQ and fabulous view, Island Hopper Snorkel Day with Dive BVI that ends at Soggy Dollar, exploring the Baths, ferry to Bitter End. I must mention Sweet Betsy who kept the house beautiful, suggested restaurants and activities, got coconut water and limes for us and kept us smiling with her friendly attitude."
